Brazil exported 4.155 million 60-kg bags of coffee in August 2026, its best August on record, according to Cecafé. Volume rose 31% year on year and revenue reached US$ 1.331 billion (+19.8%).
- Arabica: 2.87 million bags (+25.7%); conilon/robusta: 954 thousand (+53.6%); soluble: 332 thousand (+24.3%).
- Start of the 2026/27 crop year (July–August): 7.2 million bags, +21.5%.
- Year to date (Jan–Aug): 25.07 million bags to 119 countries, US$ 8.79 billion.
- Differentiated coffees (specialty and certified): 4.29 million bags, 17.1% of volume and 20.1% of revenue, at an average US$ 410.62 per bag.
- Top buyers: United States, Germany, Italy, Belgium and Japan.
Ports
Santos handled 70.9% of the year's shipments (17.8 million bags), followed by the Rio de Janeiro complex (24.9%). Cecafé itself lists port infrastructure bottlenecks among the sector's challenges.
Why it matters
With congested ports, saving time before the port counts. At WW Trading, coffee can be cleared at the Varginha dry port and move under customs transit to Santos or Rio, with less waiting and lower port storage. If the cargo has to leave through another Brazilian port or dry port, we clear it there too.
